Keyword Searching

GradLeaders Career Center allows admin, candidate and employer users to perform keyword searching on job postings, notes, and resumes.

For job postings, the keyword search defaults to search the description, job title, and company name. Where as resume and note searching searches only on hte body of the note and/or resume.

GradLeaders Career Center will also prevent a user from being able to create a search that would cause no results to be returned, or be considered a 'bad search'. 'Bad searches' are searches which would time out due to the use of SQL stop words, or extreme complexity.

If a user enters a keyword that contains all stop workds, for example a search on L.E.K. contains all stop and/or ignored words; the user will receive a validation warning that the search will not be run.

Examples of common stop and/or ignored words are below.
